Three car garage plans by Behm Design are available in several sizes and styles. These plans can accomodate smaller to larger vehicles. Often third bays are used for storage or shop space. Some of the plans feature oversized garage doors, for moving large vehicles in, such as trucks, boats and/or automotive lifts. Allowing a couple feet of walk space around vehicles is very important in planning your garage size, as well as additional storage and/or work areas.
With larger garages it is often important to consider building height. Is it overwhelmingly large for the yard? Does it visually compete with the house on the lot?
